"Aldhani" is the fourth episode of Season One of the Star Wars live action series Andor. It aired on September 28, 2022.

Use of Aurebesh

That's the Rono freighter specs and the console layout. You get done with that, that's a detailed map of the garrison. That's an Aldhani phrase book.

—Taramyn Barcona showing Cassian the freighter specs

ISB monitors

During the ISB meeting, Dedra Meero has a datapad in front of her full of Aurebesh text. However, the text is upside-down and mirror-inverted, and produces nothing but gibberish when translated.

When attendant Heert and Meero are checking the reports, both are holding a datapad. The characters on Heert's datapad are not Aurebesh, and the same thing goes for most of the text on Meero's. However, some of the content on Meero's datapad is written in Aurebesh. It translates as:

NAME FERRIX
X-ID VU39Y801
LOOC KHTAUNGATS

Note that the last word is upside-down, except for the character Krenth (representing "KH"), which is the right way up. Also note that the letter Nen (representing "NG") is upside-down and mirror-inverted.

Corporate Security Headquarters monitors

When Lieutenant Supervisor Blevin chastises the Pre-Mor Security Inspection team, the computer monitor in front of him is filled with what appears to be Aurebesh text, but it is simply too small to decipher.

The Preox-Morlana logo, seen on the wall in the Corporate Security Headquarters when Blevin chastises the inspection team members, and on the team members' uniforms, consists of a stylized vertical P and M, the initials of the corporation.

Binocular displays

The display on Luthen Rael's macrobinoculars switches between "XTRAC" and "XTRA". The same thing goes for Arvel Skeen's binoculars later in the episode.

Fondor Haulcraft cockpit monitor

As Luthen's Fondor Haulcraft approaches Imperial City, there is a close-up of a cockpit monitor reading "COONGUSCANT" [sic], "COONGE WOONGRLD", "COONGUUS-F". (It seems like the first two parts were supposed to read "Coruscant" and "Core Worlds".)

Spaceport monitors

The monitors in the Coruscant spaceport are filled with Aurebesh, but most of it is so small that it is impossible to decipher. In the first shot, if you have a very good television, you might be able to read the list of destinations in the fourth column from the right:

Next to the list of planets is a column of various two-letter combinations, and a column of various combinations of numbers and characters; most of it has no actual meaning, but the two-letter word next to Balfron, Zeltros and Cato Neimoidia is "NO". The large white text below the columns has no meaning either (it says "FOIS", "38" and "ASKLW"). Various single Aurebesh letters can also be seen. The text at the bottom reads "[illegible] TRANSPORTS, SEE THE SECURITY OFFICER FOR A PERMIT [illegible]".

In the following shot of the corridor that Syril Karn walks through; what little that can be deciphered, merely produces gibberish, except for the word "NED" on one of the screens on the right.

Mon Mothma's seating list

Perrin Fertha: Seating chart's just there.
Mon Mothma: Ars Dangor? Sly Moore? From the Vizier's private chamber?

—Perrin Fertha and Mon Mothma discussing the dinner seating arrangement

The datapad with the seating list for the Imperial senator's dinner with the governor of Hanna is filled with names. "PERRIN FERTHA" is seated at the top, and "MON MOTHMA" at the bottom ("the boring end of the table", as Fertha puts it). The names on the left side of the table are too blurred to decipher, but the ones on the other side can be clearly seen and all but one of them are named after production crew members on Andor:

GUEST PRODUCTION MEMBER
"ARS DANGOR" /
"MATT HINDLE" Graphic designer Matthew Hindle
"HANNA SMITH" Art department coordinator Hannah Meredith-Smith
"HELEN PLAYER" The set dec buyer of the same name
"CORINA FLLOYD" Assistant art director Corina Floyd
"ALEX FLLOYD" Set dec runner Alex Floyd
"SOLOMON HONEY" The assistant art director of the same name
"TOBY BRITON" Supervising art director Toby Britton

In addition, every Aurebesh letter from A to H is listed in alphabetical order alongside the names. The letter R is below Fertha's name, and S is above Mothma's name. The text in the lower left-hand corner is indecipherable.

Freighter specs

The top of the datapad that Taramyn Barcona shows Cassian at the end of the episode, says:

CONSOLE LAYOUT

RONO HAULER

RAIL CLAMP
TRANSPORT
RAIL

ENG

CARGO HOLD
COCKPIT

MANFACTURER [sic] SIENAR
TYPE TRANSPORT
DIMENSIONS 18.8 M
CARGO MULTI

Note that the words "rail clamp", "rail" and "eng" are so tiny that they're nearly impossible to decipher, even with a good television.

The monitor then switches to a second readout, saying "DESCENT VECTOR" and "ALDHANI GARRISON".

The third readout says (note that some of the characters are mirror-inverted):

ALDHANI PHRASES

1. HOW ARE YOU THIS MORNING?
[Aldhani characters]

2. HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FROM HERE?
[Aldhani characters]

3. I'M WELL THANKYOU [sic] FOR ASKING
[Aldhani characters]

4. GOOD MORNING HOW IS YOUR HEALTH
[Aldhani characters]

5. HOW MUCH DOES THIS COST?
[Aldhani characters]

The other side shows the Aurebesh alphabet, with every Aurebesh character from F to Z (although some are indecipherable), with their corresponding Aldhani letter.
