"This Could Be a Real Adventure" is the premiere episode of the live action series Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. It aired on November 2, 2024, alongside the second episode, "Way, Way Out Past the Barrier."

Use of Aurebesh

I found something buried in the woods. I think it's a lost Jedi temple like this.

—Wim showing his storypad to his father

Student badges

The young students don school uniforms featuring an Aurebesh badge reading "AT ATTIN MIDDLE SCHOOL GAMMA".

Wim's storypad

Lina and the Sith

You should not have come here.

—Neel quoting a line from the story while engaging in a pretend lightsaber duel with his friend Wim

While Wim and Neel sit at the back of the school bus in the morning, Neel is talking about mathematic equations while Wim is engrossed in reading a tale on his storypad. It goes:

THE CAVE OF
SHADOWS
WAS DARK
AND OMINOUS, BUT
LINA WAS NOT
AFRAID.

SHE IGNITED HER
LIGHTSABER, IT'S [sic]
BLUE GLOW LIGHTING
UP THE DARKNESS.
READY FOR WHAT
LAY AHEAD.

SUDDENLY, THE SITH APPEARED BEFORE
HER, IN DARK ROBES AND A RED LIGHT SABER [sic].
"YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE COME HERE," HE HISSED,
HIS VOICE ECHOED THROUGH THE CAVE

The words spoken by the Sith mirror precisely those that Neel employs as he and Wim engage in a mock lightsaber duel before they board the bus in the preceding scene.

Druin and the beast

After his dad leaves, Wim gazes at some hanging toys before reading a story. The first page goes:

DRUIN PACKED HIS BAG WITH EVERYTHING [obscured]
MIGHT NEED AND SET OFF ON HIS ADVENTU[obscured]

Page two reads:

THE H'RAKA FOREST WAS BEAUTIFUL, WITH TALL TREES AND BR-
IGHT COLORFUL FLOWERS. DRUIN FELT THE FORCE FLOWING THROU-
GH EVERYTHING AROUND HIM. FIRST DRUIN CAME ACROSS THE RUINED
HUT OF A WOODCHOPPER

THE PLACE HAD BEEN AB-
ANDONED. THE AX LEFT BE-
HIND; CLEFT INTO THE STU-
MP OF AN OLD TREE.

THE VINES OF THE FORE-
ST
HAD GROWN BACK AND
OVERWHELMED EVERYTHING

Page three says:

NEXT DRUIN CAME ACROSS THE PADDOCK OF A HERDER TH[illegible]
WAS LONG GONE. RUN OFF INTO THE FOREST OR EATEN BY
BEAST [sic]. BUT FROM THEIR OLD FOOD TROUGH GREW
A STRANGE [illegible]
BEAUTIFUL FLOWER.

FINALLY, DRUIN FELT A STRONG PRESENCE IN THE FORCE. HE [illegible; presumably "K-"]
NEW HE WAS GETTING CLOSE TO THE FEARSOME BEAST

HE TOOK OUT HIS
LIGHTSABER AND
HELD IT READY
AS THE BEAST
LUNGED OUT OF
THE FOREST AND
LOOMED OVER HIM.

The hidden Jedi temple

Did you know that some Jedi temples could lower down and bury themselves in times of danger?

—Wim to Neel

After missing the Career Assessment Test, Wim reads another story while waiting in the hallway with the safety droid:

THE KNIGHTS DECID
ED TO BUILD A TE
MPLE FORTRESS

USING THE FORCE. THEY LIFTED AND SHAPED THE ROC
KS
AROUND THEM, CREATING
THE SOARING TOWERS OF
THEIR NEW HOME

THE ENTIRE FORTRESS COULD
LOWER INTO THE GROUND, HIDING IT
FROM SIGHT DURING TIMES OF
DANGER

WITH THEIR FORTRESS COMPLETE,
THE JEDI KNIGHTS FOUND PEACE
AND SOLACE. THEY MEDITATED
TOGETHER, THEIR CONNECTION TO
THE FORCE AND TO EACH OTHER
GROWING STRONGER.

THEY WERE A BEACON OF LIGHT
[illegible; presumably "IN"] THE DARKNESS AND WHEN THE
[illegible, presumably "GA"]LAXY
CALLED FOR HEROES, THE
VALIANT ORDER DID NOT HESITATE

The following page, which Wim displays to his father, reads:

THEIR FORTRESS
ROSE BACK UP TO
THE SURFACE,
AND THEY STOOD
READY TO FIGHT
FOR JUSTICE AND
PEACE.

City signage

The school tram takes the students into a crowded business district, which is full of Aurebesh signage, including "X IN G 32" (on a staircase), "STATION" (on two signs), "ADMINISTRATION", "2572", "2576", "2578", "[obscured]T-ATTIN", "[obscured]AIN OFFICE" (with some illegible numbers above it) and "RA[obscured]". The remaining signage is illegible.

After school, the two girls KB and Fern ride their hoverbike side-car through the plaza. As they cross the bridge, an Aurebesh sign is seen on a building, but it is too far away to decipher. However, another sign displays the text "ATATTIN [sic] BANK", while a third sign indicates "ATATTIN [sic] ACADEMY." However, both signs are unclear and difficult to read.

The two girls then race down the underpass, where two signs positioned above the entrance read "BENDER MILE". There is a word located above the name, but it is not legible. As they make their way out of the tunnel, there is an Aurebesh sign suspended from the ceiling; however, its clarity is insufficient for reading. In the shot depicting their emergence from the underpass, two distinct signs on an adjacent building display the word "UNIT"; curiously, the letters are mirrored, yet the order of the characters remains intact. Meanwhile, the exit features two different signs that state "BENDER"; unfortunately, its placement at a distance renders it hard to read. A third exit sign advises "CAUTION".

After exiting the tunnel, the two friends race past an establishment called "MEL'S", seemingly a reference to Mel's Drive-In, an American restaurant chain featured in George Lucas' 1973 film American Graffiti.

School signage

As safety droids usher the children into a school building, a the sign affixed to the building states "AT-ATTIN MIDDLE SCHOOL".

After missing the Career Assessment Test, Wim waits with the safety droid outside the "PROCTORS [sic] OFFICE".

Wim's computer

During a dry class about computer algorithms, Wim doodles on his screen. In the lower left-hand corner, there is an Aurebesh word, but it cannot be deciphered.

Fern's jacket

Fern's jacket is adorned with a badge featuring a multi-colored Aurebesh A. Another badge is upside-down and shows the letter A with smaller versions of the characters A, D and K around it. She additionally sports a patch that features what could potentially be a stylized letter S in Aurebesh.

School graffiti

While Fern waits outside the Proctor's office, there is Aurebesh graffiti on the wall beside her, which is particularly visible when she asks Wim, "You indicated that you found a Jedi temple in the woods." The content of the graffiti is surprisingly vulgar for the Star Wars franchise; it reads "TURD EATER".

Neel's walkie-talkie

When Wim realizes that he inside a buried starship, he uses his walkie talkie to inform Neel about the find. The Aurebesh inscribed on Neel's own walkie talkie, which Fern takes to alert Wim not to touch anything, reads:

F 05 0 16 X 25

H 07 R 18 Y 90
I 08 S 19 Z 36

Note that the numbers are written in an alternative numeral system based on dots and lines, that is completely different from regular Aurebesh numbers.

Cockpit monitor

As the buried starship takes the kids into space, the cockpit monitor is populated with Aurebesh characters, featuring the phrases "TERMINAL DF" and "[illegible]ETDATA" [sic] (the subsequent episode reveals that the latter actually reads "SETDATA", although is only legible if you pause the image at the right moment). The remaining text is not legible.
